1- Appliance Technician (OCN)

Job Purpose:
Under supervision of the Appliance Technician Lead, installs, services, and repairs stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines, and other electrical household or commercial appliances, using hand tools and test equipment, and following wiring diagrams and manufacturers’ specifications. Connects appliances to power sources and test meters, such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter; observes readings on meters and graphic recorders; disassembles appliances to examine mechanical and electrical parts.

Job Responsibilities:
A- Installs, services, and repairs washers and dryers, using hand tools and test equipment, and following wiring diagrams and manufacturers’ specifications.
B- Connects appliances to power sources and test meters, such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter; observes readings on meters and graphic recorders; examines appliances during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts; and disassembles appliances to examine mechanical and electrical parts.
C- Traces electrical circuits, following diagrams and locates shorts and grounds using ohmmeter, calibrates timers, thermostats; adjusts contact points.

Job Requirements:
A- High School Graduate or equivalent.
B- 2 years of appliance repair technical experience.
C- 3 Host Country Driver’s License is required.
