1- Telephone Technician II (DRSN)

Job Responsibilities:
A- Operate DRSN switch and associated hardware respectively IAW technical manuals.
B- Start and configure the switch, respond to console messages, execute available diagnostic routines, and monitor system status.
C- Perform disk, cartridge, or tape backup of the DRSN switch programming every seven calendar days. When database changes have occurred, backups shall be completed within 24 hours.
D- Perform system/data administration on all equipment and software. The contractor shall accomplish data-base changes per time frames IAW DoD and DISA directives.
E- Perform minor installations as part of O&M and assist during major installations.
Job Requirements:
A- High School Diploma .
B- Must have 1 year experience on Raytheon Digital Small Switch DSS-2A or attended the government school at Fort Huachuca on the DSS-2A.
C- Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
D- Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of telecommunications systems or equipment.
