About Qatar Petroleum:
Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.
1- Senior Safety Technician (Inspection)
Department: HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (REFINING)
Full Time
Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
Conducts site inspections with regard to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and ensure compliance by monitoring the
conditions prevailing after the electronic Permit To Work (PTW) has been issued and other routine activities carried out at
Refining Operations (Refinery & Chemical Plant) premises.
Job Requirements:
A- Safety Courses — NEBOSH General Certificate
B- English Level-5 proficiency.
C- First Aid certificate.
D- Good knowledge of Refining Operations process units, product storage Tanks and support utility units.
E- Good knowledge in Plant Operation Information System such as Laboratory Information System (LIMS), Advanced
Process Control (APC) and Refinery Information System (RIS) and SAP.
F- Good negotiation skills.
G- Internationally recognized Safety Diploma.
H- Completed Secondary School Education (12 years).
