Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.

Job Description:
As a member of interdisciplinary reservoir study team, participate in field reservoir management. Participation includes planning, coordinating, and controlling the collection, analysis, and evaluation of petrophysical data for well and reservoir studies. Through these efforts, the candidate will generate appropriate development plans and provide petrophysical support for QatarEnergy operated Idd El Shargi Oil Field.
Job Responsibilities:
A– Plan and supervise the acquisition of logging operations and analyze/interpret petrophysical/formation data.
B– Develop petrophysical model to characterize reservoir fluid saturations for 3D geostatic simulation models and development plans ensuring petrophysical uncertainty ranges are captured and understood.
Job Requirements:
A- Minimum a BSc degree in Engineering/Geosciences/Applied Physics; a MSc degree in related discipline is desirable.
B- Attended advanced petrophysical courses.
C- Minimum 10 years of experience as petrophysicist. expert in petrophysical interpretation and modelling, familiar with advanced logging technology.
