Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.
1- Trading Workplace IT Support Engineer
Job Department: Trading Solutions Team, Information & Communication Technology
Full Time
Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
A– Maintain IT presence/delivery at QatarEnergy Trading workplace/floors (front, mid and back offices) and adapt it to the requirements of their work schedules
B– Provide specialized support to QatarEnergy Trading on all Trading-specific systems (whether desktop or applications) and related requirements.
C– Entertain relations with QatarEnergy Trading users to understand their key needs & priorities and identify improvements to the ICT support & delivery arrangements.
D– Document the related support and management of the Trading systems.
E- Check the availability and good functioning of the QatarEnergy Trading systems and related interfaces and batch jobs (e.g. between CTRM, SAP, Fleet Management, Data Warehouse, etc.)
Job Requirements:
A- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/Petroleum & Energy, MBA or equivalent.
B- International certifications in IT Service Management (ITIL or equivalent) recommended.
C– Minimum 9 years of progressive and directly related experience with Trading solutions.
D– Familiar with IT standards & best practices, architecture, integration, methods.
