About Qatar Petroleum:
Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.
1- Senior Instrument Engineer (Metering)
Full Time
Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
A- Responsible for Management of Metering and Associated Process Measurements & Instrumentation Systems. To achieve compliance to National & International Standards, corporate guidelines. Maintaining Safety of Resource, Process and Equipment. Maximize Productivity, Guide and Achieve Custody, Allocation and Other Associate System Targets through performing Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repair, Calibrate, Maintain Documentation, Technical Review, and Collaboration with Technical Departments.
B- The Role shall act as Department Focal Point for all custody / allocation and other transfer system within QP and / or Audit / Third Party / External Customers to coordinate related to Instrumentation Systems of Metering Assets.
Job Requirements:
A- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineering from a recognized College/University.
B- At least 8 years of experience as Instrument Engineer / Metering Engineer in Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and/or related industry in hazardous environment with sound knowledge in measurement principles, hazardous area classification, engineering review, installation, commissioning and maintenance of various field instruments, metering systems and associated Instrumentation.
