Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering activities in NFS Onshore Project, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardized processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
A- Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Qatargas Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS).
B- Perform a cold eyes review of key mechanical FEED deliverables.
C- During the ITT phase, provide technical information/clarifications requested by the bidders.
D- Leads mechanical engineering design and planning activities and ensures EPC contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
E- Resolve mechanical discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses NFS Project’s expectations and objectives. Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary.
F- Leads Mechanical interface coordination with NFS offshore, RLIC, or any third party, as required, during the NFS ITT and EPC phases.
Job Requirements:
A- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering equivalent.
B- 15 years’ experience of Mechanical Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards.
