1- Speech and Language Pathologist I ( 1 year fixed term)

Job Responsibilities:
A- Provision of total individualized patient care as assigned according to the core standards of patient care and established policies and evidence based practices.
B- Assumes delegated accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating therapy needs as well as discharge planning for each patient, assessing for current and potential problems
C- Contributes to decreasing the length of stay/waiting time as per unit specific goal. Works in collaboration with Case Management to achieve goals.
D- Provides consultation to patients/families, staff, community agencies and satellite centers as required by the SLP Supervisor.
E- Promotes patient satisfaction as a team member by demonstration of extraordinary service.
F- Continually identifies improvements within service while minimizing risks. Creating care that is optimal for our patients and families.
G- Holds a caseload and provides a speech and language therapy service to children with a range of communication and / or feeding and swallowing difficulties.
Job Requirements:
A- Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Therapy.
B- 2+ years clinical experience within relevant specialty area in an acute hospital setting
C- Demonstrated knowledge of Speech Language Pathology principles and practices.
D- Evidence of effective communication skills.
