Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.
1- Sr Safety Officer (Drilling)
Job Department: Drilling and completion

Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
A– The Sr. Safety Officer Drilling HSE supports company’s efforts, in relation to HSE Department goals, to develop, prepare, maintain and deliver “fit for purpose” UD and Contractor HSE compliance programs.
B– Assisting the Drilling Management in the development and delivery of best in class Drilling HSE Management Processes.
C– Carry out safety audits and inspections to UD offshore and Ras Laffan operations.
D– Provide Leadership and direction to HSE Operations Advisors within the field and ensure a consistent approach towards achieving the QP HSE Goals.
Job Requirements:
A- A Bachelor Degree degree/certificate in Health & Safety or demonstrated industry relevant experience.
B- Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and experience of health and safety management systems.
C– Min 12 years’ experience in years in drilling/workover operations within the oil and gas industry and 5 years in a supervisory role.
