Established in 2004, Nakilat is a shipping and maritime company based in the State of Qatar. With the world’s largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipping fleet comprising of 69 LNG carriers, the company provides the essential transportation link in Qatar’s LNG supply chain. Nakilat operates the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in Ras Laffan Industrial City, providing comprehensive ship repair and offshore fabrication services via strategic joint ventures: Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) and Qatar Fabrication Company.

Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for overall operations of the department ensuring the projects are delivered within safety, quality and budgetary targets. Monitor the financial performance of the department.
Job Responsibilities:
A- Manages safety, quality and environment in accordance with the requirement of the integrated management system manual.
B- Manages sections CAPEX and OPEX within the allocated budget by the management.
C- Management of the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure that work processes are implemented as required complying relevant procedures.
D– Responsible for proper management of raw materials, equipment logistics, people resources and administrative processes.
E- Drive continual improvement efforts, leading change management.
Job Requirements:
A- Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 3 to 1 (Motor ship), or its equivalent.
B- A minimum of 10 years Experience in Shipyard including as head of any P&O section.
C- At least 3-4 years of managerial experience as head of a P&O department; total 10 years of relevant working experience in the Marine(ship repair/conversion/new building/offshore/onshore) industry.
