About Qatar Petroleum:
Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in the State of Qatar. The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.
1- SR. ECONOMIC ANALYST (MARKETING)
Job Department: Marketing Analysis & Panning
Full Time
Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
Provide separate (i) short-term market analysis and deal endorsement, and (ii) long-term strategic planning and analysis support for Marketing activities, independent from customer-facing Marketer function and frontline customer relationship, and act as a check-and-balance providing unbiased market intelligence, analysis, planning and performance evaluation.
Job Requirements:
A- Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business or equivalent.
B- Entry position can be filled after QP induction, and with an additional 1-3 years of experience as Sales Operations Coordinator plus 1-2 years as a Marketer.
C– Strong fundamental understanding in economic analysis.
D- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Oil and Gas industry.
E- Working knowledge of financial reporting requirements and expectations.
F- Minimum 4 years or equivalent experience in the petroleum industry or related experience– preferably from trading background in the same products.
