Job Summary:
The Chief Engineer Officer is the ship’s technical manager and head of the maintenance team.
Job Responsibilities:
A- The efficient operation of all machinery and equipment installed on board for the purposes of propulsion and the provision of hotel services.
B- The safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment installed on board for the purposes of cargo handling and storage.
C- The routine checking, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery and fittings throughout the ship including the maintenance activities of the ETO/EEO/Electrician.
D- Update and control of the Engine Information Book and associated records.
E- The training of Engineer and Marine Cadets and monitoring their progress.
F- Maintenance of safety equipment.
Job Requirements:
A- Experience with cargo transfer operations (STS, Co-mingling, COW, Inert Gas, LNG discharge, emergency operations).
B- Experience with Products Crude and LNG Cargo planning arrangements.
C- Routine maintenance, Emergency operation. Cylinder Liner oil retention, piston rings and quills.
