1- Head of Secondary
School: GEMS AMERICAN ACADEMY – QATAR

About the Role:
The Head of Secondary will support the Principal/CEO by contributing to and implementing the educational strategy of the secondary school through visionary and inclusive leadership. They will report directly to the whole school Vice Principal and will lead the day-to-day operations of the secondary school overseeing all aspects relating to curriculum, teaching and learning and the pastoral welfare of the students.
Job Responsibilities:
A- Supporting the Principal / Vice Principal in the effective and efficient leadership and management of the secondary school, including the successful implementation of the school improvement plan.
B- Ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day operations of the secondary phase.
C- Overseeing the continued development of the secondary curriculum across all key stages.
Job Requirements:
A- They will also have a degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
B- Further professional development in the form of NPQML / NPQSL or Masters in Education is desirable but not essential.
C- The successful candidate will have significant middle and/or senior leadership experience and will have worked in schools for at least 7 years.
