The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil, natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels, petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminum. QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development is through Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded with major international oil and gas companies.

Job Description:
A- Responsible for the electrical maintenance activity scheduled, routine and breakdown throughout the oil and gas stations, inclusive of the inspection, overhauling, repairing, testing, commissioning of HT/LT switchgears, motors and motor control centre, generators, transformers, batteries and chargers, inventers, UPS units, heat treatment units and all other plant equipment.
B- Performs switching up to and including 3.3kV, transferring load from station generator to
Dukhan power station and vice-versa by synchronizing to 33/11 KV system
Job Requirements:
A- Completion of Secondary School education or equivalent followed by two (2) years formal full time education to OND level or equivalent.
B- 10-12 years experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul of wide variety of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgears, motors, motor control centers, generators, protection relay calibration, lighting systems, batteries and chargers, inverters and at least 4 years experience in variable speed drive and PLC control system in the oil and gas industry.
